Biography
Septfoil was founded in the year 2002. Frits de Vos, Michel Domin and Stefan Peters had played and done some gigs with each other before, but they were looking for something a little more serious. They found their man in Daan Poncin, who joined the three guys as a bassguitarist. Septfoil was born.
Really soon Septfoil got the opportunity to record a small demo at the studio of “de Nieuwe Veste” in Breda, the place where the band did its rehearsals at the time. After they had written only a few songs, “Drunk” and “Pierced” were decided to be recorded.
A few weeks later Septfoil got drunk at their first gig at “Rockstation” at the Avenue in Breda. With only half an hour of music, the band left a stunning impression to the crowd. From this moment on more songs were written and more gigs were planned.
The music from Septfoil has never been defined further specific than “hardrock/metal” because many different sources of inspiration are audible in Septfoils music. In the very beginning there were some songs written which could be defined as grunge. However, this grunge-influence quickly got completely lost. A lot of songs written after this are pretty aggressive metal, others though seem to be more smooth. As a result from this, the vocal use differs from sharp grunts till clean, melodic vocals. These different influences combined, sometimes present in the difference between songs, sometimes all of them present in a song itself, define the characteristic sound of Septfoil.
Septfoil on stage will be an energetic, powerful show where the guys get wild on stage.
