What’s the recommended dosage? / How much do I need to take?

There is no universal, set dosage for CBD oil. Everyone reacts differently and how much you need to take depends on a variety of factors:

  • Your size/weight;
  • Oil concentration;
  • Your body chemistry;
  • The condition you’re trying to treat.

The general advice is to “start low and go slow”, e.g. some people start with 2-3 drops, twice a day. Bear in mind that you cannot overdose on CBD (what your body doesn’t use, it excretes), so you are safe to experiment. It may take a few days to find the dose that works for you.

Finally, CBD has biphasic properties which means a dose that is too low or too high will be ineffective. It takes trial-and-error and some patience to find your “sweet spot”.
